Why Forged?

The next level of tough.

Rocktrix got here on cast wheels. Tough, good looking, and ready for the trail. That's not changing. Forged is the step up.

Dense, solid forged metal.

Forging presses aluminum into one tight, solid piece, with grain that follows the shape of the wheel. Solid all the way through.

Strength for its weight.

Forged aluminum has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than cast aluminum. The gain is strength, not big weight savings.

One piece, cast or forged.
Every Rocktrix wheel

One solid piece.

Every Rocktrix wheel, cast or forged, is one solid piece. There's nothing to loosen and nothing to reseal.

What SAE J2530 means

SAE J2530 is the SAE performance standard for aftermarket wheels on cars and light trucks. Rocktrix Forged wheels are tested to all three:

01

Cornering fatigue

Spins the wheel under a bending load, over and over, like hard cornering.

02

Radial fatigue

Rolls the wheel under load, like miles of driving.

03

Impact

Hits the wheel from the side, like a curb or a rock.

Pass all three, and the wheel has shown it can take the loads it's rated for.
